MG QT Build (2): Part 6 - Supercharger Installed

Posted by stevebakermg on February 9, 2010 at 5:20 PM

Well the superchargers now been polished (see below for the before/after effect, it's the Magnuson blower from the blog in December) and fitted back on to the Q-type. The next thing to do will be to make the roll cage for the car. I would recommend you fit a roll cage if you're racing one of these, there have been a couple of accidents in recent years and it's always a sensible investment.

I'm also making patterns for the fuel tank (steel this time round), there will be two varieties; one for road use and one for racing which will be smaller because of the roll cage.

In other news I'll soon have a Wilson ENV pre-selector gearbox to fit to an XPAG, I'm sure you'll be interested to see the results and I'll keep you well posted.

You should go and live in La Jolla selling this beautiful shining stuff to
the Yanks! Wonder what Sandy would say moving to Southern California!
