About Me

My first car  1949 MG TC bought when I was 17 in 1965, I spent 3 years rebuilding and then had an accident clipped the rear end and slightly bent the chassis.  Car put under covers and now a retirement rebuild project.

Hopefully making a start later this year

About Me

I own an MG TC which I purchased in 1970. The attached photo was taken in 1972. I have now retired in 2010 and began restoration of the car. It is going slow, but is still underway. Will send more photos when the job is done.

About Me

Hi, just retired from educational work. Bought TC in 1971 for £110 and used it for daily commute until became too unreliable. Chassis and engine completely stripped and rebuilt in 1974 and new wood frame started. Then move to house with no garage and which needed lots of work. Restoration on hold for 36 years!! Now working to complete it over 2 years. Chassis needs stripping again and some better restoration on it. Engine needs unleaded head. Wings and tank restored but not not yet lead loaded or prepped for painting. Instruments all restored by John Marks, originals had been 'updated' by a previous owner. New, but second hand wooden body kit purchased and, hopefully as a very ex woodwork teacher I will be able to assemble with not too much problem. Had bought, about 10 years ago, part fitted body kit with all metalwork from Barry Walker so now need to sell wood but keep metalwork. Hopefully warmer and lighter days now mean progress on rebuild will continue a pace!

About Me

Don't be fooled by this picture of myself on the Targa California from last year.  I have been a British Car enthusist as long as I can remember going back to my first car a Bugeye Sprite that I purchased in 1967.  Since then I have owed eight MGs, three Minis, two Jaguars, a Healey, a Triumph and a Morgan.  My passion is and has been classic cars and working and driving them.  I hope to add to my present  60's collection of vehicles in my garage a Pre-War MG.  This MG will serve as a bookend to my works MGC GTS better known as Mabel or MBL 546E which I have spent the last 4 years restoring to 1968 Nurburgring specifications.

Happy Motoring,

Henry
